The saved or rendered video ile comes with a large ile size, which requires
compressing the video content so that it can be easily handled by users. A
huge ile size and the need to compress video have made necessary a

codec
, which basically means to compress video
content to get a smaller size. Actually, the quality and the compression
works against each other: the more compressed the video is, the lower
quality it has.
