In-Depth Information
3D Controller layer: This layer contains the controllers for the 3D object,
such as the transform properties including rotate, scale, and position, and
material options, such as shadows, difusion, light, shines, metal efects,
and so on.
3D Camera layer: When you import a 3D Photoshop layer into After
Efects, the Photoshop default camera is imported as a separate layer in
the composition. You can change the camera transform properties such
as position, rotate, and point of interest. The 3D camera layer also
includes camera properties such as zoom, depth of ield, focus, aperture,
and blur level.
In the following exercise, you will see how to use the 3D controllers to rotate
the 3D object in the 3D space:
1. Open Adobe After Efects.
2. Choose File > Import > File or press CTRL + I (CMD + I on the Mac).
3. Navigate to the ile 3dcar_afterefects.psd, which includes a 3D layer in
Photoshop.
4. In the Import dialog box, choose Composition as the Import Type and
make sure that the Live Photoshop 3D Layer is selected.
5. Open the Timeline panel and expand the 3D object layer.
6.
In the Live Photoshop 3D section, set the camera option to Use
Composition Camera, which activates the Controller layer to modify
the object.
