high-quality transparency compared with other formats that support
transparency, such as GIF.
Range
When you export your 3D animation as a video or image sequence, you can
choose to export only part of the animation by setting its range. For
example, you can export one or two seconds of the animation for a preview,
or you can have an animation that is divided into parts or scenes, so that you
can export part or scene of the animation individually.
As we mentioned earlier, the Work Area bar in the Animation panel sets the
animation frames that will be rendered from the animation. You can use the
Work Area bar to set the start and the end of the animation work area.

The Range part gives you another method to change the rendered area of
the animation through the Export dialog box. It speciies the number of the
animation frames that will be rendered in the output. The output range
includes three options (Figure 13.9):
• All Frames: Renders the entire timeline regardless of the work area you
set previously in the Animation panel. Make sure that your animation
uses the whole timeline time, or you will get undesired repeated frames
in the either the rendered video or the exported image sequence.
• In Frame and Out Frame: Sets a speciic range of frames to be rendered
in the output; you can specify the frame number where the animation
render starts and the frame number of the last frame in the animation.
• Currently Selected Frames: Renders only the frames that are selected in
the timeline work area. This method keeps the same work setting that
you speciied previously in the Animation panel.
Render Options
The Render options include other settings, such as alpha channels and the
frame rate of the exported video animation.
Alpha Channel
The Alpha Channel setting determines the video or image sequence
transparency options. Generally, when you create transparent content in
Photoshop, such as PNG images, the object's outline may include pixels with
