The Aspect Ratio, which you can set to 4 : 3 or 16 : 9.
The Preserve Aspect Ratio option resizes the video output while
preserving it aspect ratio. There are two main options for displaying the
resized video with preserved aspect ratio. The irst one is letterbox, which
adds a black frame around the resized video. The other is to crop the
resized video.
Images Sequence
The QuickTime Export option allows the exporting of content not only as
video, but also as sequenced images. To export animation as sequenced
images, choose Image Sequence from the drop-down list. The Image
Sequence option allows you to export content as BMP, JP2, JPEG, MacPoint,
Photoshop, PICT, PNG, QuickTime Image, SGI, TGA, or TIFF.
Each format has its own options that afect the sequence's quality and
number of colors. In the following exercise, you will see how to use this
method to export video animation as sequenced images in the PNG format
with a transparent background:
1. Open the ile Chessboard.psd.
2. Select File > Export > Export Video.
3. In the Quick Time Export drop-down list, choose Image Sequence.
4. In the Image Sequence, choose the PNG format.
5. Click the Option dialog box.
6. From the Color list, choose Millions of Colors + to enable the transparent
background.
MPEG-4
The MPEG-4 format supports video delivery to a range of bandwidths and is
used to deliver video over large bandwidth, such as streaming video over the
web, video on CDs, and TV broadcasting.
MP4 is one of the MPEG-4 export formats and it is a widely used format for
many new mobile phones. Therefore, in the following example, we'll convert
the video animation to the MP4 format:
1. Open the ile Spaceship.psd.
2. Select File > Export > Export Video.
3. In the Quick Time Export drop-down list, choose MPEG-4 and click the
Setting button to open the MP4 Export Settings dialog box.
4. You have two options: MP4 and MP4-ISMA. The ISMA (Internet
Streaming Media Alliance) is a group of companies including Apple,
IBM, Sun, Cisco, Philips, and Kasenna that has put forth standards for
streaming technology to increase the compatibility of the streaming
