Prepare for Internet Streaming
Internet video streaming allows you to receive video over the Internet as
packages of data from a video streaming server, such as in a streaming
online session that is broadcast to many users at the same time, and ensures
that everyone is viewing the same content as other users, and allows you to
broadcast the content to many users compared to the other technologies. It
is useful for online training sessions and also video delivery sites such
as YouTube.
The streaming video is not stored on the local machine, as it is sent as
packages upon the user's request, which is sent when the video player starts
to play and call the video packages from the server. One of the advantages
of using this method is that the user does not have to wait for the video to
load to see a speciic part of the video.
This section lets you set the streaming options for the QuickTime ile.
Basically, you can choose from three main options:
• Fast Start: Sets the video to play from the web before the video
completes downloading to the local machine.
• Fast Start—Compressed Header: Similar to the previous option, but
compresses the header of the video.
• Hinted Streaming: Sets the video to be streamed from a QuickTime
streaming server.
AVI Windows Video
AVI is the most popular video extension for Windows users, and supports a
wide range of video codecs and compression values. When you choose AVI
as your rendered video ile format, open the AVI settings dialog box, which is
similar to the Quick Time dialog box and includes similar options. The only
diference is that it includes diferent video compression codecs. The video
codecs are methods to compress the video, as the original videos are always
large and hard to handle, especially for playing on web and mobile devices.
Thus it is a good idea to consider compressing the video using the video
codecs. Try the commonly used codecs to get the best quality and smallest
size for the video.
The AVI options settings dialog box includes options to specify your output
video and audio. The video options include the following:
The Compression Type includes diferent compression codecs that you
can use to compress the exported AVI video. You can try diferent
compression methods with your video to see the best result regarding
the quality and total video size.
The motion lets you set the animation speed in terms of frames per
second. Also, you can set a custom keyframe placement; for example, you
can set a keyframe every 24 frames by adding the number of frames
