Rendering Animation
for Video and Image
Sequences
Usually, the end user does not view the source Photoshop PSD iles. The
source iles include the work resources for the project workspace such as
layers, efects, and editable text. Rendering is the process of creating image
or video output from the source 3D model or animation. When you deliver
the project to your client, you provide it in a inal video format such as MOV,
AVI, or FLV. The render process converts your working iles from source ile
format to formats that can be used by the end user on the web, the desktop,
DVDs, and other forms of video animation. For example, you can render the
project to FLV and MOV iles to use for the web and export the video project
to AVI format for use on the desktop or DVD.
The inal delivery formats do not allow users to see your source ile structure,
layers, or working sequence. Thus it secures the integrity of your project. As
the end user will not have the project source ile at hand and will not be able
to edit it, your project source ile and resources remain unavailable—and
