Working Area Brackets
The Working Area Brackets let you set the working area that will be rendered.
You can set the start and end point by dragging the start bracket and the
end bracket to the frames where the rendering should start and end.
At the bottom of the Animation panel, there are additional function icons
that are arranged from left to right as follows:
The Navigation Arrows: Allow you to play the animation or step through
the frames. You can also use keyboard shortcuts (similar to that of After
Efects) by activating the shortcuts from the lyout menu.
The Enable Audio Playback: Allows you to enable playing audio in the
video content while playing back the animation on the timeline.
The Zoom Slider: A very useful option; allows you to zoom the timeline in
and out. It is helpful if you are working with a particularly long animation
with a lot of frames and you want to navigate through these frames
more quickly.
The Onion Skin icon: Lets you activate the Onion Skin modes. The
timeline indicator displays only the current frame; the Onion Skin modes
display the frames before and after the selected frame. These frames
display fade and less opacity. You can set the Onion Skin settings from
the context menu. In this dialog box, you can set the number of the
frame you would like to see before and after the current frame and how
these frames will be displayed; for example, you can set the number of
frames you would like to show before and after the selected frames. Also,
you can set the space between the Onion Skin frames and the maximum
and minimum opacity for these frames. In the Onion Skin Options dialog
box, you can also set how these onion frames will intersect with each
other using the Blend Mode drop-down list. The Onion Skin mode works
as a guide for animators to see how the animation lows after and behind
the current active frame to make sure that the animation lows well and
the movement works properly.
The Delete Keyframe icon lets you delete speciic keyframes.
The Animation panel's context menu includes important commands that can
extend your animation capabilities and give you more control over your
animation; in the following exercise, we will use some of these commands to
see how they can be used in a project. But irst, let's go over some of the
important functions in this menu.
Keyframes Interpolation
When you create an animation in Photoshop, you create two keyframes that
include in-between frames that display the gradual change of the object
