In-Depth Information
In the Perspective camera view, the Standard Field of View has three diferent
measurement degrees, based on the vertical degrees, horizontal degrees,
and the size of the lens in millimeters.
You can also set a blur at a speciic distance using the DOF (Depth of Field)
value. This value creates a blur on the object that appears when the object
reaches a speciic distance in front of the camera.
In the following exercise, you will see how DOF afects the 3D model at a
speciic distance from the camera:
1. Open a new Photoshop ile.
2. Create a new layer.
3. Choose 3D > New Shape from Layer.
4. Choose the Hat model.
5. Click the 3D Camera tool or press the N key shortcut to activate it.
6. Choose the 3D Camera Zoom tool from the Properties toolbar.
7. Make sure that the Perspective view is selected.
8. Set the DOF Blur value to 2 and Distance to 0.25.
9. Drag over the 3D model to see how the blur appears when the camera
becomes a speciic distance from the object (Figure 10.5).
Orthographic Scale Zoom
The Perspective view mimics a real-life view by creating an illusion of a
vanishing point. So objects in front of the camera look bigger than the
objects far from the camera when they are the same size.
