In-Depth Information
Note: When exporting an .OBJ model that includes applied textures or
materials, the 3D application exports an .MTL ile that includes the material
information. In order to import the .OBJ iles into Photoshop while
retaining its materials, make sure the MTL ile is saved with the .OBJ ile.
Now that we've built the 3D scene, let's add and edit light options to create
the desired light efect. Start by editing the candlelight:
1. Select the 3D candle layer.
2. Open the 3D panel and go to the model meshes. Select the candle_
light mesh.
3. Set the Opacity of the light to 75.
4. Set the Self-Illumination to orange.
5. Select the Candle Holder polygon.
6. Click the Material drop-down list and choose the Metal Copper
materials. If it is not already listed, you can choose Metal from the
context menu and append it to the current materials. These extra
materials are installed in Photoshop as mentioned in Chapter 8.
7. Go to the Light section to set up the candlelight.
8. From the New Light icon at the bottom of the panel, choose Point Light.
9. Move the Point light to the center of the lame's tip.
10. Change the light's Intensity to 2% to increase the light at the center
source of the light's tip.
