The 3D meshes from the grayscale option allow you to use a grayscale image
as a map that forms your 3D shape. The map image is used as a texture for
the object and a bump map to give your object the required depth. The idea
behind this concept is that Photoshop reads the diferent gray degrees in the
image as depths for your 3D surface. For example, the white areas are the
highest areas in the model and the black areas indicate that there are no
mesh areas in this part of the model.

Note: Although the ile should be a grayscale to make sure that all the ile
content is converted to grayscale, you can use this feature with RGB or
CMYK iles whose colors are white, black, and gray.
