1.3.3 Deployment Considerations
When choosing your operating system and database for the hyperion stack, I
recommend using whatever your It teams know. In my experience, the majority
of hyperion installations are hosted on Windows Server and microsoft SQL Server.
When scaling to the high hundreds or over 1000 users, most customers tend to use
a flavor of unix; modern microsoft® ® server operating systems also scale well, so
choice of one or the other is more a preference than a requirement when scaling.
