Envisiontec : German Envisiontec GmbH produces DLP 3D printers which use photo-
polymer material. Envisontec's printers are known for high resolution and good accuracy
in printed parts. In 2013 they launched their new technology 3SP, a development of the
DLP technology. 3SP stands for scan, spin and selectively photocure. This new technology
promises bigger size and faster prints while maintaining high print resolution. Envisiontec
claims to have 60 % of the world market for 3D printed hearing aids and 50 % of the world
market for 3D printed jewelry.
EOS GmbH : EOS is the world leader in metal 3D printing, but they are also producing
SLS plastic printers, with brand names such as Formiga and Eosint. EOS was the first
company to commercialize direct metal printing in the middle of the 90s. EOS was early on
involved with the German auto industry, BMW was one of their first customers. Today the
founder Hans J. Langer sees medical and aerospace as the most interesting customer areas.

Formlabs : This small American startup was founded in 2011. Formlabs launched a kick-
starter campaign for its stereolithography 3D printer “the Form 1” in 2012, which is one of
the first low-cost stereolithography printers partly aimed at the consumer hobbyist market.
Full Spectrum Laser : This Las Vegas based company produces the low cost stereolitho-
graphy printer Pegasus Touch.

Hunan Farsoon : Farsoon is a private Chinese company which was founded in 2009. The
company produces Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) printers for printing with plastic mater-
ials. The have also developed Nylon powders for SLS printers, which they claim have been
exported to Sweden, Italy and other countries. Farsoon's founder Xu Xiaoshu has earlier
worked for US companies DTM, 3D Systems and Solid Concept.
Hyrel : Hyrel is a US kickstarter funded startup launched in 2012. Their FDM printer comes
with two different extruders which also enables printing of materials like clay, sugru, sil-
icone etc. The printer can also be fitted with four printer heads enabling printing of four
objects at the same time.
