3D printing services
Proto Labs
: American Proto Labs was for a long time a rapid manufacturing service bureau,
specialized in CNC machining and plastic injection molding, which did not use 3D print-
ing. In 2014 they finally turned around and acquired additive manufacturing service bureau
FineLine Prototyping. FineLine Prototyping offers stereolithography, selective laser sinter-
ing and direct metal laser sintering. 3D printing remains a small part of Proto Labs total
business though.
