HP enters the market
On October 29, 2014 Hewlett-Packard, the 2D printing giant, announced that they intend
to enter the 3D printing market with full force by introducing their revolutionary “Multi Jet
Fusion” technology. This technique which is based on ink-jet printing promised to be 10
times faster and more accurate that similar competitors, with a resolution down to 21 mi-
cron. However a full market entrance was postponed until 2016, since HP first wanted to
test the technology in close cooperation with a handful of selected key customers.
