been appointed as the official food tasters at Heathrow Airport in London.

Blumenthal has opened a restaurant at Heathrow Airport's Terminal
2.

is an indicator of how airport restaurants will join the food tourism market
over the next few years.
Copenhagen Airport in Denmark has developed 'pop up' restaurants,
CPH Nordic Dining, and uses three leading Danish chefs to prepare and pro-
mote local Danish food.
Many airports now have a local retail food offer as one of the retail offers
in the departure lounge.
When a gourmet culinary tourist starts planning their journey they will
often start their restaurant search in one of two ways.
