Description
Threat
An expression of intent to inflict damage, or
circumstances that provide opportunity for
unintended damage.
Threat agent
An entity capable of introducing threat.
Threat space
A collective term referring to all organizational
threats, all attributes of threats, and the
environment containing threats.
Traceability
A formal link from one element to another; often
used in IA 2 in reference to requirements and
establishing formal traceability from business
drivers through a series of tables to operations and
maintenance (O&M).
Transactional
nonrepudiation
The nondeniability of an individual or service
performing a particular activity (e.g., logon,
monetary transfer, database update).
Utility
Information is fit for a purpose and in a usable state.
Vulnerability
A weakness that may be exploited to cause loss or
injury.
Web services
A term referring to the generic provision of
automated tasks within the enterprise where those
automated tasks are invoked and provided via Web
technologies.
Work breakdown
structure (WBS)
A method for organizing the entire scope of a
project.
Work product
A document or other artifact that assists in the
development or production of the final solution; a
deliverable is a contractual obligation where a work
product is a nice-to-have, or often an essential-to-
have, but not explicitly called out contractually.
