In-Depth Information
There are prices and costs associated with risk mitigation, sharing, transfer,
and acceptance. The prices include the expense of mitigation services and mecha-
nisms as well as insurance premiums. The costs include the addition of ongoing
operations, maintenance, and upgrades. The initial price of risk acceptance is zero;
however, the final cost for accepting all risk may be the most expensive option, with
the ultimate price being going out of business. Your job as an IA architect includes
finding the right balance in addressing all risk.
