SV-10c
Systems event-trace
description
One of three products used to describe systems
functionality—identiies system-speciic
reinements of critical sequences of events
described in the operational view
See SV-6.
SV-11
Physical schema
Physical implementation of the logical data model
entities, e.g., message formats, ile structures, and
physical schema
See SV-6.
Technical
standards
view (TV)
The TV is the minimal set of rules governing the
arrangement, interaction, and interdependence of
system parts or elements. Its purpose is to ensure
that a system satisies a speciied set of
operational requirements. The TV provides the
technical systems implementation guidelines
upon which engineering speciications are based,
common building blocks are established, and
product lines are developed. The TV includes a
collection of the technical standards,
implementation conventions, standards options,
rules, and criteria organized into proiles that
govern systems and system elements for a given
architecture.
IA 2 addresses TV risks that include intrasystemic
interdependencies (e.g., loss of a part of the
system). Loss of any part of the system degrades
the system; use IA 2 to identify levels of tolerance
for degraded performance. Use IA 2 to examine
the standards that describe what to use to
implement and enforce policy. There are risks to
not using standards, to using standards, to using
certain products and vendors within standards.
Use IA 2 to identify the trade-offs in performance,
cost, and security.
