Organizational hierarchy, roles, or other
relationships among organizations; authority
sources
The organization is a hierarchy of command and
control, superior and subordinate relationships.
There are risks in individual actions, group actions
(departments), and intergroup actions
(interdepartmental). Risks ind root in no
communication, miscommunication, ofice
politics, and elected oficial politics. Authority
sources touch on governance. The lack of
governance is a risk, as is poorly deined
governance.

Operational activity
model
Capabilities, operational activities, relationships
among activities, inputs, and outputs. Overlays
can show cost, performing nodes, or other
pertinent information.
Operational activity touches on worklows and
tasks within the ECF. All activities follow a
systemic low of input (dependencies, trigger
events), process (performing tasks), and output
(production, quality, external dependencies). Use
the IA 2 Process to identify risks and how to
address risks in operational activity.

model
One of the three products used to describe
operational activity—identiies business rules that
constrain operation
Business rules touch on compliance requirements
and the need for compliance management. IA 2
offers direction on compliance management and
aligning (requirements engineering) IA with
compliance requirements.
