5.1 introduction
The Organizational Context Framework (OCF) presents an organizational hier-
archy of
governance
,
management
,
builders
,
operations
,
users
, and
leaders
. he OCF
also provides a framework for
organizational views
of IA (Figure 5.1). Organiza-
tional views of IA can be seen from two perspectives: the message of IA to the
organization in terms it can understand and relate to, and the use of organiza-
tional views on IA for the effective planning, implementation, and operation of IA
services and mechanisms. Discussing IA in terms relevant to these organizational
views will help raise awareness, understanding, and use of IA throughout the enter-
prise. Moreover, applying these perspectives to IA will help make IA more effective
in the greater enterprise context.
