During the assessing examination, after drain openings had been cleaned some water
was poured off the anchor device (Figure 6.16). This permanently wet environment had
accelerated the corrosion of the compound-filled cable ends.

After examining the actual geometric shape of the cable system (Figure 6.17), a static
calculation was carried out to check its status.
