The need to increase the weight of the vehicles that pick out and remove the dirt
resulted in the need to check the load-bearing system. Static calculations showed a low
loading capacity of the orthotropic flooring, which was insufficient to accommodate the
movement of the wheeled vehicle required.
Because the main load-bearing system had a sufficient capacity reserve, the suggested
solution was to reinforce the orthotropic flooring by coupling it with a monolithic
reinforced concrete plate which was laid on the existing flooring to an
