In “Size over Lifetime,” use the curve and move the end key down to 0
(Figure 8-38 ).

Click Play.
You can see there is a major issue. The particles move along with the slug instead of being left
behind. Fortunately, the solution is simple. By setting the Simulation Space to World, the particles no
longer inherit the transforms of the parent emitter and stay in place until they fade out of existence.
