The Inspector now shows the character and the bones that have been successfully mapped as
green (Figure 6-24 ). Objects such as the Chest and Shoulders are optional, as indicated by the
broken circle of dots. For the Scarecrow, the hands are not green but gray, indicating that there are
no finger bones to be assigned.

If any of the parts are red instead of green, it means the automapper was not able to find the missing
bones. Bones are identified both by naming conventions and by location in the hierarchy. If you have
to manually assign bones, you can select them in any of the three locations: in the Scene view, in the
Hierarchy view (Figure 6-25 ), or in the Inspector in the mapping list. At the bottom of the Mapping
