P ALAWAN
BACUIT ARCHIPELAGO
Islands
The crystalline waters of Bacuit Bay are a fantasyscape of jagged limestone islands, mes-
merising from any vantage point - whether from underwater, from the air or while lying on
a beach. They hide so many white-sand beaches, lagoons and coves that you'll be over-
whelmed. Highlights are Miniloc, Matinloc and Cadlao islands.
CALAMIAN GROUP
Islands
This group of islands in the far north of Palawan are known for endless undeveloped white-
sand beaches and excellent snorkelling. En route to Busuanga Island (the largest settlement
in the Calamian), you'll pass Linapacan Island, Culion Island, and other small islands
where groups of huts hug the foreshore of beautiful beaches.
HONDA BAY
Islands
A day spent snorkelling and island-hopping is almost a prerequisite if you're in this area.
Join a tour for some snorkelling and exploring of Pandan Island, Cowrie Island and Snake
Island, a winding strip of white sand that changes shape with the tides.
PORT BARTON
Beach
Move to the slow village pace of Port Barton, from hammock to the beach, and back again.
It's the sort of place where, after a few strolls of the beach, you don't want to share the
tranquility with outsiders. Port Barton's Long Beach is one of the longest undeveloped
beaches in the country at 14km.
