The .75-mile
South Peak Trail
begins in the campground and rises
steeply through thick woods before emerging on open ledges near the top.
There are several radio antennas at this summit. There is a one-mile
trail connecting the two summits. You can make a loop by a walk of less
than a mile on a park road between the two parking areas. Elevation
gain, 600-700 feet.
