Paddling the length of Chesuncook, Maine's third largest water body, can
be a challenge. Often southeast or northwest winds will whip up waves
more than six feet tall. If you don't have time to work your way along the
shore, inquire at the Chesuncook Lake House about a boat shuttle that
can carry you, your boat and gear to the southern end of the lake.
Canoeing & Kayaking Outfitters
Overnight trips average $100-150 per person, per day. Half-day
guided trips are $50. Basic rentals cost between $25 and $45 per
day. Most rentals include life jackets, paddles & car-topping gear.
