Isle au Haut Light . 50-foot stone and brick tower with footbridge to
shore of this offshore island, much of which is part of Acadia National
Park. Keeper's house used as an inn. Ferry access from Stonington.

Eagle Island Light . 30-foot stone tower built on this offshore island in
1858. Island once thickly settled. Boat access only.
Mark Island Light, Deer Isle . Square 28-foot stone tower build on off-
shore island in 1857.
Green Island . 25-foot stone tower built in 1856 on offshore island in
Blue Hill Bay. Boat access only. Privately owned.
Burnt Coat Harbor Light, Swans Island . 35-foot brick tower erected
in 1872. Car, bicycle access after ferry ride from Bass Harbor on Mount
Desert Island.
Great Duck Island Light . 40-foot round stone tower on windswept off-
shore island. Tower erected in 1890. Boat access only.
Baker Island Light . 45-foot round stone tower built in 1855 in center of
island. Boat access only. Much of island is Acadia National Park. Regular
naturalist tours daily in summer by boat Mount Desert Island.
Mount Desert Rock Light . Known locally simply as “The Rock.” 60-
foot granite tower erected in 1830 on this barren ledge 18 miles out from
Mount Desert Island. Boat access only. Owned by College of the Atlantic
as a marine mammal observation station.
Bear Island Light . 25-foot round stone tower erected on offshore island
in 1889. Privately owned. View from mailboat, ferry ride to Cranberry
Isles from Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island.
Egg Rock Light . Square wooden building built in 1875 on barren ledge
in middle of Frenchman Bay. Red light 40 feet above ground. View from
Champlain Overlook and Schooner Head Overlook in Acadia National
Park on Mount Desert Island.
Winter Harbor Light . 20-foot round stone tower built in 1856 on Mark
Island at entrance to Winter Harbor. Privately owned. Boat access only.
Prospect Harbor Point Light . 30-foot round stone tower built in 1891
on east side of harbor. Privately owned. View from across harbor on Route
