Mountain Biking
Camden Hills State Park , Camden. Located off US 1, this
park protects the hills in a town which bills itself as being
“Where the Mountains Meet the Sea.” A 10-mile out-and-back
run is possible on a snowmobile trail and summer bypass section that
runs from the campground just off US 1 to the Youngston Road just off
Route 173. It passes through attractive woods. You can combine your ride
with hikes up the park's peaks, but bikes are not allowed on hiking trails.

Camden Snow Bowl , off the Barnstown Road, Camden 04843. Several
rides of varying difficulty are possible at this popular family ski area.
Lots of single-track routes through woods and swamps in addition to ski
trails. Intermediate skill level. No lift service but views from top of 1,300-
foot Ragged Mountain are worth the pump.
