Checking the Camera Raw Process
Camera Raw has been in Adobe Photoshop Elements since the Version 6
release. You might have used Camera Raw with other images. When you
open a file in Camera Raw, it automatically interprets the image's raw file
format and identifies the most current and improved features in Camera
Raw that will work with your image. Photoshop Elements has three Pro-
cess Versions that it uses for your file:
• Process Version 2012, which is the default and is used in Adobe Photoshop
Elements 2011 and later.
• Process Version 2010, which is used in Photoshop Elements 2010.
• Process Version 2003, which is used in Photoshop Elements 2009 and earli-
er.
You can check what version was used for your files by clicking Camera
Calibration and then clicking the Process menu. This lets you match earli-
er files that you modified in Camera Raw with your new files by changing
this menu to match the process method used for your older files.
Also note that some of the adjustments in the Basic and Detail panes
might not be accessible if the process method you choose does not support
that feature.
