Use the Filter Menu
You can also use the Filter menu in the Photo Editor menu bar to apply fil-
ters. This menu has all 12 Filters that are in the Filter pane of the Effect
panel, as well as a new one, Adjustments filters. We cover Adjustments
filters next. When you choose a Filter from the Filter menu, it is applied
immediately to the photo based on the Photo Editor's analysis of the
photo, the selected layer, or selection.
Using Adjustments Filters
There are also Adjustments filters available in Photoshop Elements 13. These are found
under the Filters menu, and they let you apply specific adjustments to your photos, layers,
and selections. The Adjustments filters are not found in the Filters pane of the Effects pan-
el.

Open a Photo in the Photo Editor and click the Expert mode.

From the menu bar, choose Filter, Adjustments; then from the submenu choose one
of the Adjustments filters.
