Adding Effects in the Expert Mode
Photoshop Elements 13 has beefed up the effects that you can use to enhance your photos.
The Photo Editor has eight Effects in the Expert mode, and Adobe has added an additional
four Effect Variations for each Effect. Unlike the Quick mode, the Expert mode lets you
apply the Effect Variation not only to the entire photo but to just a selection in the photo or
to an individual layer as well.
1. Open a Photo in the Photo Editor and click the Expert mode.
2. Click Effects in the taskbar.
3. If the Effects tab is not active, click it.
4. Click the Effects menu.
5. Click to choose an Effect.
6. Hover your cursor over an Effect Variation to see a ToolTip labeling the variation.
