Using the Cookie Cutter Tool Option
The Cookie Cutter tool option lets you use a preset shape for cropping. This is similar to
using a cookie cutter to cut out shapes. This tool is an option of the Crop tool. The Crop
tool in Expert mode works the same as in Quick mode, except for the addition of this new
tool option.
1. In the Photo Editor, open a photo and then click the Expert mode.
2. Click the Crop tool.
3. Click the Cookie Cutter tool option.
4. Click the Custom Shape Picker.
5. Click the Shapes menu, and then choose a Shapes category.
6. Click a Shape from the menu.
7. If you need a shape in a preset size, click the Set Geometry Options menu and
choose a preset. You can also keep the default setting of Unconstrained and type a
Width and Height into the fields.
8. Click to select the From Center option to create the shape from the center out.
9. Click the Feather slider, and then choose a feathering for the edges. You can also
click in the Feather field and type a number between 1-250.
