Tools in the Toolbox Reflect the Last Used Tool
Each tool has multiple tool options from which you can choose in the Tool
Options bar. Based on the last tool option you used, the tool in the Tool-
box and ToolTip reflect this tool option, so your tools might display a dif-
ferent tool. For example, if you click the Rectangular Marquee tool and
then click the Elliptical Marquee tool option, the Toolbox reflects the El-
liptical Marquee tool instead of the Rectangular Marquee tool. This is an-
other example of the sticky interface of Photoshop Elements 13.
4. Click a selection tool.
5. Each tool has its own set of tool options. The Tool Options bar displays by default.

an identifying ToolTip.
7. Click to select a tool option.
8. Based on what you clicked, the Toolbox reflects the active tool option.
