Photo Play
The Photo Play category of the Guided Edits panel lets you apply playful effects to your
photos. These Guided Edits create fun effects for your photos, such as allowing part of a
photo to extend over the photo border or overlaying a puzzle effect to the photo. Again,
these Guided Edit effects are applied in a manner similar to the other effects we have
covered already in this chapter.
Following is an overview of the Guided Edit Photo Play effects.
Out of Bounds —This fun effect guides you through adding a frame to the photo,
followed by the process of selecting part of the image and displaying this out of
the frame boundaries.
Picture Stack —New to Photoshop Elements 13, this Guided Edit transforms your
photo by dividing the display area into a set number of individual photos.
Pop Art —This effect transforms your photo into a Pop Art style image.
Puzzle Effect —This effect adds a puzzle piece overlay on your photo.
Recompose —This effect lets you recompose your photo by identifying the objects
you want to move, protect, and remove. The Brush tool lets you quickly identify
these areas, and the Photo Editor does the rest.
