1. Open a photo either from Organizer or from your hard disk in the Photo Editor.
See “ Opening a Photo in Photo Editor ” in this chapter for how to open a photo in
the Photo Editor.
2. Click the Quick mode.
3. Click the Zoom slider to zoom in on the photo so you can see the teeth clearly.
4. Click the Whiten Teeth tool from the Toolbox.
5. By default, the New Selection tool is selected. You can click to choose any of the
three Selection options.
6. If you need to adjust your Brush size prior to selecting the teeth, click the Size
slider and drag it left or right to decrease or increase the brush tip size. You can
also click in the Size field and type a pixel size.
7. Click the Brush Settings button to adjust the brush settings.
8. In the Brush Settings window, click the Hardness slider to adjust the hardness of
the selection tool. You can also click the Hardness field and type a set percentage
size. Hardness is basically how tight the selection is to the edge of an area based
on the color tones in the image.
9. Click and drag the Spacing slider left or right to decrease or increase the amount of
spacing between similar colors the selection tool recognizes for the selection.
