Albums Versus Folders
Photoshop Elements uses both albums and folders for managing and grouping your digital
media in a Catalog. Each is used to organize, group, and display your photos. You can find
both under the associated tab in the Albums and Folders panel. Click the Albums tab to see
the albums in your Catalog, or click the Folders tab to see the folders where your media
is located. You create albums to group and display your photos as you want, and use the
Folders view to find where the original file of a photo or video is located on your computer.
They each have their own use in Photoshop Elements 13 for managing your photos.
1. By default, the Albums view is the active view when you first open Elements Or-
ganizer. Click the Albums tab if you are in the Folders tab.
