Shadow Type (Pro Only)
When you are ready to kick your game up a notch, you will definitely want to take a look at the many
additional effects available in Unity Pro. Along with new features, improved developer tools, and
more target platforms, Unity has also recently revamped its pricing structure to make the Pro version
much more accessible to the indie developer. You can find more information about this on the Unity
web site by selecting Buy in the top menu.
Draw Halo
The “halo” of the Draw Halo property gives an effect of particles in the air around the light when checked.
Flare
Set the light Transform position to (0, 2, 3) and Type to Point. From the top menu select Assets ➤ Import
Package ➤ Light Flares. The Import Packages window will open with a list of light flares available in
Unity's Standard Assets. Click Import, then check the Assets folder in the Project panel to find the
Light Flares folder has joined the Light Cookies and Skyboxes folders in the Standard Assets folder.
Drag the Sun asset into the Flare property window and see its effect in the Scene view or the Game
view (Figure
3-17
).
