In-Depth Information
You definitely get the most bang for your buck from a marketing perspective by creating games for
the well-established, popular game platforms. If you have an interest in up-and-coming technologies
or just want to try something different, there are other lesser-known game venues that also support
Unity:
Sphero: http://developer.gosphero.com . Sphero is a robot ball game platform that is controlled by
Android or iOS devices, which integrate its real-world robotic antics with the device camera input
and GUI display into a hybrid remote control/augmented-reality game environment—or, in a reverse
fashion, it can be used via its sensors as a game controller itself.
A plug-in is a software component that extends an already existing software application with a new
feature or features. The Sphero plug-in for Unity is available directly through the Unity Asset Store
(Figure 13-10 ).

unity3d also support Unity, though you have to go directly to their respective sites rather than
through the Unity Asset Store (Figure 13-11 ).
