Save the scene and give it a try. Less synchronized pendulum swings add to the challenge of these
obstacles. You could reposition their start point, or for a quick test adjust the mass settings on the
Pendulum Sphere game objects.
Character Joint
Character Joints allow you to put limits on the joints of your character. Right now your character's
body movements are driven by the Animator. The physics engine tracks on the Rigidbody and
Capsule Collider when the character as a whole collides with another game object. Character Joints
are more commonly used for Ragdoll effects, when your character's body and limbs are controlled
entirely by the physics engine rather than the Animator component. The joint itself works like an
extended ball-and-socket joint that can rotate (twist) in place and bend (swing), giving it a huge
range of movement that you customize by setting the various limit properties (Figure 7-9 ).
