Breaking this down by settings, checking Loop Pose means the animation clip will repeat or loop .
If unchecked the animation clip will play only once.
Root Transform Rotation describes how much the animation rotates the model during the animation
clip. By checking Bake Into Pose, you are “baking” the original rotation coordinates into the
character and preventing it from rotating during the animation clip. This is what you want to prevent
it from drifting during the walking animation where you want the character only to move forward in a
straight line.
