What different levels of access are there for
computers and the Internet?
Let's consider access on a continuous scale, from not available
at all to being easily available to anyone for any application at any
time.
Computers and Internet access never available
Some accessibility to a computer and the Internet, perhaps at
specified times through a communal installation or a com
mon account
Limited ongoing access to individual accounts, perhaps with
significant restrictions regarding convenience, cost structures,
or social circumstances
Ongoing access to individual accounts, perhaps through slow
computers or limited communications channels
Easy ongoing access for individuals using highspeed technology
