Tonal Correction Using Levels
The Levels dialog box (Figure 3-14 ) allows you to shift the brightest, mid-tone, and darkest pixels in the
image you are working with. Essentially, this allows you to make an image lighter or darker or to change the
contrast. It also lets you make color adjustments, which we'll look at in Chapter 4.
