Although it can be useful in some instances where a light adjustment is all that's required, the results
can be destructive if you don't use it carefully. There are some images that just won't yield good results using
this feature. Levels, Curves, and layer blend modes are much better options.
Tutorial 1: Brightness-Contrast Adjustment
In this exercise, we're going to look at the basic Brightness-Contrast dialog. This image (Figure 3-10 ) is
noticeably flat and dull. Although the Brightness-Contrast dialog is not the best tool to use, we'll improve the
image by using it.
