■ While the aforementioned auto-settings can be time savers and work well, beware of ones such as
Digital iCe or other dust-removal features. they can soften the image, resulting in diminished quality. the best
action is to remove as much physical dust as possible before scanning. if you must use a dust-removal feature,
try using minimal settings.
