There's a similar option for TV shows called favorites . When viewing TV shows in the iTunes
Store, select the Add to Favorites button to add them to your Favorites list, shown at the top of the
TV Shows section of the Apple TV's Home screen. If a TV show is marked as a favorite, that button
changes to Remove from Favorites; select it to remove it from the favorites list.
Get movie and TV recommendations from your Apple TV
The Genius feature in iTunes is also available via the Apple TV; it offers a convenient way to be
introduced to new films and TV shows based on your previous purchases. On the Apple TV's Home
screen, at the top of the Movies and TV Shows section is the Genius option. Select it to get recom-
mendations for movies and TV shows that Genius considers similar to those you've bought or rented
through the iTunes Store.
For example, a long time ago, I must have bought an episode of Lost on my Apple TV because
now when I select the Genius option in the TV Shows section on my Apple TV, I am recommended
shows such as 24 and Prison Break . Sure, the Apple TV isn't offering me particularly up-to-date
choices, but then I probably watched that Lost episode about five years ago.
Likewise, I purchased the movie The Hangover , so Genius believes I would like to watch Anchor-
man and American Pie . As a matter of fact, I've seen both but then the Apple TV doesn't know that
because it only knows what I've watched through the iTunes Store.
