start the movie, you have 24 hours to finish watching it. You can also buy movies, which differs from
renting them in that you can watch them as many times as you want forever.
1. From the Apple TV's Home screen, navigate to the Movies icon and select it.
2. Scroll to view new and popular movies as well as movies organized by category, or use the
links at the top of the screen to view genres, find recommended movies based on your taste
with Apple's Genius feature, or to search for a specific film.
3. When you have selected the film you want to rent, the details screen appears. Scroll across
to the Rent button, which shows whether the rental is in HD or standard definition and how
much the rental costs. Click the button to rent the movie. Or select the Buy button to buy the
movie.
4. You are asked to confirm the rental or purchase by clicking OK, after which you can begin
watching your movie.
The process for TV shows is similar, though you can only purchase them, not rent them. You can
buy individual episodes by selecting them and then purchasing that episode, or you can select the
Purchase Season Pass option at the top of the episode list to purchase that entire season.
