The Steam service on a Mac
Another gaming service, OnLive ( www.onlive.com ) , takes gaming across even more of your
devices: It supports Macs, PCs, and iOS devices, and it streams (yes, streams) games directly to your
device from its mammoth Internet servers. OnLive brings a new dimension to online gaming because
users aren't restricted by the platforms they are on, so Mac and iPad users can play games that were
designed for Windows, for example. Internet-based gaming also means that you can pick up where
you left off in a game on whatever device you choose, as long as it's connected to the OnLive system.
Subscribers to OnLive can access any game on the system for a monthly fee and play for as long as
they like without additional costs.
