Play multiplayer games
Some games, such as Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit, allow you to use multiple iOS devices with a
single main display. In these games, an iPad takes the place of the traditional board, and each play-
er's iPhone or iPod Touch becomes a tile rack or card, connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to the iPad.
Real Racing 2, for example, offers multiplayer gaming using as many as three iOS devices on a single
Apple TV screen. You should search the App Store to find multiplayer games for your device; I note
some my favorites in the next section of this chapter.
Games can use Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi to connect to each other, so it's important that all your
devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and have Bluetooth turned on. Use the following
steps to set up Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iOS device and then head to the multiplayer section of
your app to discover how to complete the setup.
1. Launch the Settings app.
2. Tap Wi-Fi and select the Wi-Fi network you want to use, then enter the password if reques-
ted.
3. Tap the Settings button at the top of the screen to return to the main Settings menu.
4. Tap Bluetooth.
5. Set the Bluetooth switch to On.
