Get More While Listening to Internet Radio
Stations
When you find a radio station you like in the Radio screen (from the Home screen's Radio but-
ton), add it to your Favorite Stations list. To add the station, play it, and then press and hold the cen-
ter button until the dialog box appears. Select Add Station to Favorites to add the station to the list.
After you add the first radio station to your favorites, the Favorite Stations list appears near the top of
the Radio screen, as Figure 10-6 shows. From here, you can quickly select one of your favorite sta-
tions.

Your Apple TV has an impressive list of Internet radio stations, but you may also want to listen to
stations that don't appear on the list. You can't do this directly on your Apple TV — but if you have a
computer, you can play the station easily using iTunes. You can then send the output to your Apple
TV via AirPlay, so you have the station playing on the Apple TV. Here's how to open another radio
station in iTunes:
1. Find the station's URL. The easiest way is to go to the station's website and look for the link.
2. Copy the URL. For example, right-click or Control+click the link, and then choose Copy on
the contextual menu that appears.
3. Open iTunes or switch to it.
4. In iTunes, choose Advanced > Open Stream. The Open Stream dialog box appears.
5. Type or paste the URL for the radio station and then click OK (or press Enter or Return).
iTunes tunes into the radio station, which starts playing. You can control playback of the ra-
dio station using the standard iTunes playback controls.
